Happy Earth Month! At Just Enough Wines, we prioritize sustainability as one of our core values. In fact, the whole idea of Just Enough started with the need to eliminate wine waste. There are many ways that we have incorporated sustainability into our business model in order to promote a healthier and happier planet. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in various ways, from sourcing our grapes from vineyards with SIP and CSWA-certifications, to using recyclable aluminum packaging.
Another way you can see this mission in action is through our partnership with 1% for the Planet. 1% for the Planet is an international organization that promotes corporate accountability and prevents greenwashing. It connects companies with charitable organizations worldwide to prioritize the planet and people over profits. As a 1% for the Planet member, we pledge to donate one percent of our annual sales to environmentally friendly non-profit organizations.
We are thrilled to announce the two organizations that we have chosen to partner with in 2023!
California State Parks Foundation
The first organization that we are partnering with this year is the California State Parks Foundation. We are so proud to be partnered with CalParks for the third year in a row! This non-profit foundation is dedicated to engaging Californians with state parks. California State Parks’ mission is to promote the health, inspiration, and education of Californians by assisting in the preservation of the state's great biological diversity, protecting the state's valuable natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation. Since our brand’s roots lie in California, we take great pride in giving back to the stunning state parks that we have cherished over the years. Women’s Earth Alliance
The second organization that we are partnering with this year is the Women’s Earth Alliance. The Women’s Earth Alliance is a non-profit organization that pinpoints women leaders working at the grassroots level to combat climate change and safeguard their communities’ natural resources, livelihoods, and well-being. They empower female leaders by providing them with training, funding and support to enhance their leadership skills. Its mission is to protect the environment, end the climate crisis, and ensure a just, thriving world by empowering women’s leadership. As a female-founded, and women-led organization, it is incredibly important to us to support female leaders looking to make a positive impact on our world. Incorporating sustainable habits into our daily routines, like switching to canned wine and supporting sustainable businesses is an excellent way to decrease your carbon footprint and give back to the planet. Even small changes can create a ripple effect. Let’s raise a can to Mother Earth this April – and beyond!
